I always felt that God was generous enough to let angels help with the paintings. I want to take a stint at coloring in spring leaves. And sunrises. and oceans. And galaxies. Mwahahahaha! Overweening ambition strikes again.
I have a friend who is a lighting designer. We were watching a sunset and I said, “God does great work, doesn’t He?” and my friend said, “Yeah! And He’s got only one dimmer! It’s all in the gels!”
I saw a sky of clouds like that just a few days ago and was marveling at how much it made me think of a white galloping stallions tail waving in a breeze or a soft fluff of down. I am often looking skyward.
I'm Barb, a writer, gardener, and sometimes I try to be office manager of the Universe. I’m the lady who drives off with her coffee thermos still sitting on top of the car. I’ve been known to give my orders in the Taco Bell Drive-through using different foreign accents. (Drat! My southern drawl gives me away) My drawl is more pronounced if I’ve had a beer. (No I don’t drink and go to Taco Bell.) For some reason strangers often tell me their stories when I’m at the grocery store. (Do I have a “Talk To Me”sign on my back?) Whenever I have to leave a name at a restaurant, I tell them I’m Madonna. I sometimes volunteer for more than I can handle, so then I assume an alter-ego: Ziva on NCIS. She can do anything and look good doing it…go ahead and laugh…humor is good .
